Sustainability

As part of Abdulrahman Kanoo Education Group (ARKEDU), both schools under this first Bahraini Education Group and focusing on sustainability. ARKIS and ARKS Diyar are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals and Bahrain’s 2030 vision- people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership. Within the school environment many activities and programmes are now in place. Key partnerships are being formed with local partners to not only educate but allow the students to tangible see the impact of their actions. Both schools now, within their premises, have the purpose built “Green Uniform Recycling Box” in which uniforms, shoes and bags can be donated and in turn be repurposed and given a second life.

Any family within either school can provide the respective reception desk the bags of items to be placed within the boxes provided. There will be regular collections made by HOU and at each quarter we will disseminate the cubic metres of products donated and follow the sustainable story.

We recognize that there is a growing movement towards environmental consciousness, which is why we have adapted our practices to offer sustainable materials and ethical production methods for our uniforms. By conducting extensive research and sourcing only the best materials, we ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and ethics. In addition, we have established strategic partnerships with like-minded suppliers who share our values and promote sustainability and social responsibility within our supply chain. This approach ensures that our products are not only fashionable and functional but also environmentally friendly and ethically produced.

Furthermore, we have launched the Green Uniform Recycling Box initiative, which allows you to donate your old uniforms, backpacks, and shoes. These items are sent to a recycling company abroad where they are repurposed and given a second life. This initiative is just one of the many ways in which we are working towards a more sustainable future.
