Curriculum

ARKS Diyar is a private school that opened in the 2022/23 academic year, initially welcoming students from Nursery to Year 5. The school’s vision is to expand year by year, eventually offering a complete educational journey from Nursery through to Year 13 graduation.
The Infants School — comprising Nursery, Reception, and Year 1 — is dedicated to providing high-quality individual care and education for every child. ARKS Diyar offers a warm, innovative, and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to flourish and reach their full potential.
The school is committed to supporting each child’s personal and academic development, helping them build confidence in their abilities, achieve their goals, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
At ARKS Diyar, we have developed a fun, engaging, and stimulating educational programme inspired by the British Curriculum.
Core subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, and Arabic. In addition, students benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum that includes Innovation, Art, Project-Based Learning, Religion, Social Studies, and Mindfulness, with integrated IT throughout — all delivered under the holistic umbrella of wellbeing.
Our lessons incorporate a problem-solving approach that encourages children to develop their full potential. This approach promotes self-awareness and helps students better understand their own learning styles. As a result, children develop curiosity, become more open-minded, and grow increasingly confident in taking on new challenges.
Regular and ongoing assessment for learning enables teachers at ARKS Diyar to make informed professional judgments about student achievement and adapt teaching programmes to support each child’s individual learning journey. Consistent and constructive feedback helps children understand their next steps in learning and encourages continuous progress.

With over 25 years of educational experience in Bahrain since 1997, ARKS Diyar is proud to be part of Abdulrahman Kanoo’s educational structure and the only private school group in Bahrain operating across two campuses since 2022.
By the start of Primary School (Year 2), the children’s experience through a broad play-based approach has significantly developed their knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities, preparing them for the more formal subject-based learning they will encounter in later primary years. Creativity and student ownership of learning continue to be nurtured through Innovation, Project-Based Learning, and Mindfulness, which remain integral parts of the curriculum.
The implementation of the Cambridge Primary further strengthens students’ development in Literacy, Science, and Mathematics.
Our spacious campus provides learning areas that exceed the Ministry of Education’s required space per student by double, creating light-filled and open classrooms that foster creativity, wellbeing, and positive mental health for both students and teachers.
All lessons are delivered in English, with the exception of Arabic, Mandarin, Religion, and Social Studies. For students holding non-Bahraini passports, Arabic is offered as a Second Language program.
