Congratulations are in order for Team ARKS Diyar, following their submission to the Bahrain Education: Innovation & Excellence 2022. A panel assessed each submission to determine it met high evaluation standards, with the inclusive criteria being that the programme or innovation was developed within the past three years. An intensive look into the background of the programme and how it was planned, challenges and results. More importantly the full write up can be seen in the latest edition of @GulfInsider. The awards were in recognition and celebration of schools and universities in Bahrain that promoted innovation and excellence.

ARKS’s submission was submitted and subsequently awarded based the roll out of their Mandarin Programme across the school.

With the programme in its early stages and approved by the Ministry of Education in Bahrain, teaching commenced with the opening of the school in August 2022. This means that this is the first and only official tri-lingual school in Bahrain with -Arabic, English and Mandarin. “The uptake from students has been positive and one of excitement. External verification came when a delegate from the Confucius Institute- a branch @UOB visited and whom were impressed with the proficiency and overwhelmed by the retention and uptake after only for weeks of learning”. Leading this impressive programme is Ms. Fatima Sahwan- a Bahraini based graduate who had received the MOE scholarship and has the vision, expertise, drive and skill set to run the programme
