Abdulrahman Kanoo School Diyar (ARKS) celebrated Bahrain’s 51st National Day with incredible finesse- with the student-led event was arranged to empower them and to take ownership of their school. Many extended family members were in attendance with staff supporting photo booths, henna, face painting and the game area. There were multiple events and activities that were part of the two-hour programme, with the students from Yr. 5 & Yr. 4 presenting to all those who entered, as part of the welcome. Primary students used recycled material to construct the Bahrain skyline, traditional sweets and food along with students displaying traditional crafts.
Joining the celebrations was ARKS Executive Director & Board of Trustee, Mr. Tariq Abdullatif Jasim Kanoo, “The building came to life today whilst celebrating the school’s first National Day celebrations- one in which parents were also invited to. Visiting the classrooms and being part of the assembly this morning was an honour. As Term One finishes, we are proud of what has been achieved in 15 weeks- the legacy of my Uncle and his vision, lives strong across both schools (ARKIS & ARKS Diyar)”.
