Behavior Guidelines Session

In alignment with the Ministry of Education’s new Behavior Guidelines, Abdulrahman Kanoo School (ARKS) initiated training and educational sessions for both staff and students this week. This is part of an ongoing programme throughout Term 1(2024/25), aimed at ensuring our ARKS family remains safe and informed.

The session included Behavior Expectations and Classroom Management- inclusive of a certification for staff. In house training on Conflict Resolution by our School Counsellor Team. The Ministry of Interior, Mr. Ali Abdulla has commenced his training session to promote a respectful and inclusive school environment. Via MOI all students will receive a variety of sessions from bully online and to harms of social media

Settling in reports for all new students to the ARKS Family will be stagnated in the coming days, starting with Lower Secondary today. The reports are essential tools that help monitor and support their transition into a new school environment. Areas of social integration, academic adjustment, emotional well-being, support needs and teacher feedback, all under the umbrella of the student’s growth mindset.  The reports are another layer of what is offered at ARKS Diyar. These are valuable to ensuring that new students have a smooth transition into our school. We believe that focusing on their social, academic, and emotional adjustment, schools can provide the necessary support to help our students thrive.
