World Teachers Day was observed on the 5th of October, marking its 28th anniversary across the globe. Proclaimed by the UNSECO back in 1994, it signified significant steps made for teachers in 1966. Under the 2022 theme: “Teachers at the heart of education recovery”. Abdulrahman Kanoo School Diyar (ARKS) Teachers Day celebration was a student-led initiative which saw both classroom educators receiving a handmade compiled card from every student within their respective class. The secret initiative saw parents emailed with a template and students able to decorate, write or glitter the page and share their thanks and appreciation.

Both PreSchool and Primary school assemblies commenced with a special song that the children practiced at home. The specialist teachers were not left out, as cards were signed and also given out. All our teaching staff at ARKS Diayr work hard to inspire, guide, educate and mentor each day.
