Abdulrahman Kanoo School (ARKS), celebrated its second Teachers Day today (5th of October). Established in 1994, this annual event is held to celebrate the work of teachers and is recognised by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

Students and parents acknowledged the staff today with gifts of appreciation, with the Vice Chairman; Dr Faisal Kanoo noting that,“gifts of appreciation were given to all the valuable team members of ARKS, as we believe they are all teachers in some form or other. This holistic approach to celebrating Teachers Day supports the Education Group (ARKEDU) ethos to not only its core values, but the inclusiveness and caring for people and the environment of the school. We are all lifelong learners within education, transformation of learning comes from educators themselves- both Operational and Academic”.
